This post is part of an ongoing challenge to share a little joy I have found each day of this year, and perhaps for the rest of my life. I hope you enjoy it!

Human beings are a wonder to behold.
Not a day goes by that I don’t witness someone doing or saying something weird or hilarious. Even moments of violence can be wondrous, if only to remind us of the frailty of our lives and how precious this all is.
As I lazed along the beach yesterday, a young woman was doing the most interesting contortions, leaning backwards until her face was level with her feet. Now I have had the pleasure of going to shows such as cirque du soleil, so contortion-ism of this level is not new to me, but that does not stop it from being a delight to witness each and every time.
For some, this level of flexibility is a birth right, but for many others it requires years of dedicated hard work and grinding. Regardless of which category she fell into, it was just plain awesome to see someone touch their face to their feet.
Humans are cool.
