This post is part of an ongoing challenge to share a little joy I have found each day of this year, and perhaps for the rest of my life. I hope you enjoy it!

After having spent most of the day sneezing and blowing my nose, it became a little bit difficult to focus on anything. Your ability to take joy in your environment is quite diluted when your body has decided that the environment is trying to kill you.
That being said, I managed to rouse myself enough to take a walk up the Campuhan ridge here in Ubud, a lovely little trail that immerses you in nature. It was there that I noticed a large flowering tree, and all upon it were very large beetles!
These beasties were huge, most probably on steroids. It was lovely to see them pollinating away, as for most of my life I believed that only bees pollinated flowers, until quite recently I began some online work and wrote some articles on different sorts of flowers.
To read about something, write about it, and then find that very thing out in the world is a magical experience. A full circle, knowledge, understanding, then experience.
It was a delightful little side stop to my usual walks up the ridge.
Always have to keep your eyes open in case the world wants to show you something.
As always, stay healthy and let your geek freak fly!
