This post is part of an ongoing challenge to share a little joy I have found each day of this year, and perhaps for the rest of my life. I hope you enjoy it!

I woke up today to the news that someone I had met and had a wonderful conversation with was heading back to India, and I wouldn’t have the chance to say goodbye before she left. It was a sad moment, but would soon turn into something delightful.
I was given instructions to make my way over to a random acai ice cream shop, and to forage in the third potted plant when facing the shop. Within that potted plant I found a small, hand-stitched heart, something you would make for a child.
It was sweet, and fun, and just so dorky and it is the best gift anyone has ever given me. To have a little hunt in the morning and just discover this little kindness left behind by someone I barely knew just infused me with more hope for humans as a whole. We can be so kind and giving in many ways, it helps push back the darkness a little.
Remember to always be open to new experiences, new friendships, and as always stay healthy, and let your geek freak fly!
